چکیده

This paper proposes an interference suppression technique using nulling filter and turbo equalizer for carrier interferometry (CI) based one-cell reuse single-carrier time division multiple access (TDMA) systems. In the proposed scheme, CI technique is employed to generate CI signal which is equivalent to single carrier signal with its roll-off factor of zero. At the receiver, received CI signal is transformed into frequencydomain signal via fast Fourier transform (FFT). Interference including co-channel interference (CCI) from adjacent cell and adjacent channel interference (ACI) from the same cell is suppressed by applying frequency-domain nulling filter. After that, a soft canceller with minimum mean square error (SC/MMSE) based turbo equalizer is utilized to compensate for channel induced intersymbol interference (ISI) as well as extra ISI produced by the nulling filter. Computer simulation confirms that interference can be suppressed with the proposed scheme. Keywords-interference suppression; carrier interferometry; nulling filter; turbo equalizer

Microsoft Word - ICACT 2013 Do-Hoon Kim

Basically, conventional single-carrier system has an advantage in limited power communication systems. However, the performance of conventional single-carrier system is seriously degraded by ISI (inter-symbol interference). In order to overcome the ISI, communication systems are commonly used an equalizer. Turbo equalization technique was proposed to maximize system performance over ISI channel...

Turbo Equalization based Iterative Channel Estimation in SDMA SC-FDE Systems

In this paper, we propose an LDPC-based Frequency Domain (FD) turbo receiver to improve the channel estimates iteratively in a Single Carrier Frequency Domain Equalization (SC-FDE)1 uplink system in the presence of intra and inter-cell interference. Upper layer co-ordination is necessary to keep the average received power of the co-channel Out of Cell Interferers (OCIs) low. Such control can be...

A Low-Complexity Turbo Equalizer for OFDM Communication Systems

With the growing demand for mobile communications, multicarrier (MC) schemes are receiving an increasing amount of attention, primarily because they handle frequency selective channels better than ordinary single-carrier schemes. However, despite offering several advantages, MC systems have certain weak points. One is their high sensitivity to interchannel interference (ICI). The influence of D...
